Frequently asked questions

The questions we hear before the first meeting.

Straight answers about price, timelines and how a project unfolds. If you still have a question, call us: it's free and there's no obligation.

How much does a custom kitchen cost?

It depends on three things: the size of the room, the materials chosen (doors, countertops, hardware) and the complexity (island, special storage, built-in furniture). Two kitchens of the same size can have very different prices. That's why we don't quote a price per foot or per metre: we prefer to meet you, measure, draw and hand you a precise, free estimate for your project.

What we can say: our prices are very competitive for custom cabinetry built here, because we design, build and install ourselves, with no middleman.

What exactly is free?

The meeting with a designer at the showroom, the plans and the detailed estimate. You pay nothing to find out what your project would cost.

Two details. If you prefer the designer to come to your home before an agreement is signed, a minimal travel fee applies; it is credited to the project when you entrust it to us. And if you want to take the plans with you without ordering, we ask for a deposit of 5% of the project value, also applied to the project if it goes ahead with us.

How long does it take?

Every project has its own schedule: it depends on the materials (some countertops or finishes have their own lead times) and the season. Your designer gives you a manufacturing and installation date with the estimate, and we keep it. Our CNC machines cut every part from the plan, which reduces surprises in the shop and on site.

Who installs the cabinets?

Our own installers, employees of Armoires Tremblay. No subcontractors. The same team that designed and built your kitchen is responsible for installing it, and stays available afterwards.

Will I see my kitchen before deciding?

Yes. Our designers produce photorealistic renderings of your kitchen, with the real textures and colours, and can animate the space so you can picture yourself in it. You approve before manufacturing.

Do you do refacing (replacing the doors only)?

No. After comparing, we believe in neither the quality nor the durability of that kind of renovation, and the savings compared to a real renovation are often smaller than people think. We prefer to rebuild cabinets properly, so they last.

What materials do you offer?

For doors: polyester, polymer (thermofoil) and new-generation melamine, chosen because they resist scratches, UV and Quebec's wide humidity swings. We no longer offer solid wood, veneer or lacquered MDF, which move and change colour over time. For countertops: quartz, granite, Dekton, laminate, concrete. Your designer helps you choose by room, use and budget. See Materials and countertops.

Where do you go?

Anywhere within about 50 km of Beloeil: Saint-Bruno, Mont-Saint-Hilaire, McMasterville, Sainte-Julie, Saint-Basile, Chambly, Saint-Hyacinthe, Longueuil, Boucherville and the whole South Shore. Beyond that, ask us.

Do you do bathrooms and other rooms?

Yes: bathroom vanities and storage, laundry rooms, walk-in closets, built-in offices, banquettes, reception desks and other custom furniture, residential or commercial.

What happens at the first meeting?

You call us or fill out the form. A designer calls you back within one business day to set the meeting, at the McMasterville showroom or at your home. Bring your photos, your measurements if you have them, and your ideas. We take care of the rest.
